DPLA will be at ALA 2024

DPLA will be at the ALA Annual Conference in San Diego later this month – and we hope to see you there. You can find us throughout the conference on various panel discussions, at the Ebook Friday Reception at the Fairweather Bar and talking with libraries and publishers about The Palace Project with our partners from Lyrasis at their booth, #914.

Here’s what we have on tap for ALA24:

  • Ebooks Interest Group Meeting, aka “Ebook Friday,” join DPLA Director of Ebook Services Micah May and Michael Blackwell of Readers First for a day of curated conversation about library digital service. Where: Hilton Bayside, Sapphire Room. When: Friday, June 28, 10:00am–2:00pm PST.
  • Library Insights Summit: DPLA Executive Director John Bracken will join a panel to discuss “Exploring eBook Opportunities and Challenges.” Where: San Diego Convention Center, Room 6F. When: Friday, June 28, 1:00–1:50 pm PST
  • Ebook Friday Reception, with free snacks brought to you by our friends at Ingram and complimentary drinks courtesy of DPLA/The Palace Project and Unlimited Listens. Where: Fairweather Rooftop Bar. When: Friday, June 28, 2:30–4:30pm PST

In addition, our partners at Lyrasis are part of a panel, Not by the eBook: Increased Access and Alternative Licensing, on Sunday, June 30, from 9:00am–10:00am PST.
