Interview with Jeffrey Schnapp of extraMUROS
Earlier today I spoke with Jeffrey Schnapp, faculty director of the metaLAB (at) Harvard, about extraMUROS, one of nine Beta Sprint projects selected for presentation at the October 21 Plenary meeting. Using open-source HTML5 and public APIs, extraMUROS is a tool that allows users to explore and curate collections in new ways by offering striking modes of visualization and geographic access. True to its name, extraMUROS aims to make the Digital Public Library of America into a multimedia-library-without-walls.
