Interview with Ben Schmidt and Martin Camacho of Bookworm
Ben Schmidt and Martin Camacho from the Cultural Observatory at Harvard University sat down with me earlier this week to speak about Bookworm, one of the nine Beta Sprint submissions asked to present at the October 21st plenary meeting. Their project, which leverages existing library catalogs and full-text scans to display search results in the form of interesting data visualizations, allows users to track historical trends among library contents. Currently, Bookworm uses metadata and books collected by the Open Library.
