Recreation at the Gilsonite Mines

Folks in southern Uintah County planned picnics, hike, once in a while a dance, with someone playing the piano and whatever other instruments could be rounded up. Ball games were played, sometimes teams from other parts of the Basin would come to play ball. In the winter, sleigh riding was a favorite.
