Eastman’s 1891 biography of homeopathic doctor and temperance advocate Dr. Diocletian “Dio” Lewis, who inspired the formation of the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union. The biography was printed in an undated pamphlet entitled The Woman’s Crusade: Forerunner of the WCTU.
