Shaneé Yvette Murrain named one of Library Journal’s Movers & Shakers 2021

The DPLA team is pleased to share the news that Director of Community Engagement Shaneé Yvette Murrain has been named one of Library Journal’s Movers & Shakers for 2021. Shaneé was recognized as one of five “Digital Developers” in part for her work leading the creation of the Black Women’s Suffrage Digital Collection. “Digital endeavors, including DPLA, are not divorced from questions of race, power, and equity,” Murrain told Library Journal. “We are working to make African American collections accessible in the DPLA and modeling how our national network can serve as a platform for repair and building reciprocal relationships.” You can read the full profile here.
