Happy Holidays from the Digital Public Library of America

Dear all,

With the holidays upon us, I wanted to send a personal note of thanks for your continued support of the Digital Public Library of America. From our launch in April 2013, to over 500 people gathering for our first-ever DPLAfest and more than doubling our collection in just six months, I can proudly say that DPLA has had an amazing year. It’s remarkable what we’ve been able to accomplish together as a community.

But we’re just getting started. Whether it’s innovative new interfaces for discovering and serendipitously browsing our collection’s millions of items, such as through the new DPLA Bookshelf, or adding new service hubs in states like New York, North Carolina, and Texas, we have much to look forward to in 2014.DPLA Holiday Card

We can make further great strides with your contributions. That’s why I ask for your support this holiday season. Please make a tax-deductible donation to the DPLA today and help ensure that we’re able to build on 2013’s incredible momentum. Your support will have a direct impact on our ability to bring together the riches of America’s libraries, archives, museums, and cultural heritage sites and to share those riches openly with the world. A donation in any amount truly helps, and we have nice gifts for any supporter who donates $2 per month or above: special DPLA t-shirts, mugs, totes bags, and more.

To make your tax-deductible donation to the DPLA, simply visit dp.la/donate, or click on the yellow button at the top of any page on our site. My sincere thanks in advance!

And as always, thank you for following our work. We look forward to sharing exciting new DPLA initiatives, opportunities, and features in the coming year.

Happy Holidays from all of us at the DPLA!
