ALA’s Core Ebooks Interest Group will host our 6th Annual “Ebook Friday.” Hosted by Readers First’s Michael Blackwell and DPLA’s Micah May, Ebook Friday invites leaders in the library digital content ecosystem to present projects, discuss trends, and consider possible advocacy.
Anyone with an interest in a better library digital content experience is welcome and encouraged to attend this exploration of the challenges libraries face in meeting increasing demand sustainably.

This panel is part of a ticketed event: Library Insights Summit: Connecting Publishers & Librarians
The library eBook landscape has been evolving over the past decade, and libraries saw strong interest in digital content including ebooks and audiobooks during the pandemic. In this session, a librarian, digital aggregator, and publisher will discuss lending models, libraries’ challenges to meet patron demand with their budgets, and ways to increase transparency in data—with the goal of increasing collaboration between librarians and publishers directly.
