The original finding aid described this as: Description: Views taken during the STS-86 EVA on the Mir space station and in the Atlantis payload bay include: EVA 2 Vladimir Titov translates along the handrail attached to the Docking Module on the Mir space station (001-13). EVA 1 Scott Parazynski (red strip on suit) translates along the Atlantis's starboard sill with a MEEPS container on a tether attached to his Extravehicular mobility unit (EMU). A portable foot restraint is also in the view. Titov is in the background to assist Parazynski in placing the MEEPS container in its passive experiment carrier in the payload bay (014-34). View 035 is underexposed. Also present are dark views of Titov in the payload bay (036-8) and translating along the orbiter starboard sill (039-45, 064-71). Parazynski translates along the orbiter starboard sill to work with Titov (some views are very dark) (046-63). Parazynski on the orbiter port sill (072-4). Close-up of Parazynski's EMU helmet with reflection of the payload bay, Earth and Mir in the visor (075-7). Parazynski translates along the orbiter starboard sill towards the aft section (078-83), then sets his feet in a PFR to test the SAFER with Titov (084-88). Both Titov and Parazynski (who is tethered to the orbiter sill) are photographed in the payload bay close to the orbiter docking system (089-93). Views 021 and 076 were selected by the STS-86 crew for use in their post-flight presentation.
