  • Marcus is the only town in Washington state named for a Jewish immigrant (Marcus Oppenheimer). In the late 1930s, the construction of the Grand Coulee Dam forced the town to move to higher ground to a site about 2 miles north.Handwritten on verso: Zwang-Wurzburg Store.
