California Homeowners Service Club was organized to "simplify the woman's problems in home maintenance by making available to her skilled artisans in all fields...that she might need in running her household. A carefully screened list of services sources...has been compiled." A woman would apply to the organization and for a $5 annual membership fee be able to call the organization who would take care of service she requested.
