He could not leave the controls to go back and kill it. He could not reach it with any club. He could not set a trap for it. What could he do? Calmly he put on his oxygen mask. He climed up through the cloud bank overhead, up and up until he reached the rare air of the stratosphere. Rats could not live up there. Very soon the activities of the rat ceased. It had been dispensed of. Oh, for the power to climb into some spiritual stratosphere where the rodents of dindictiveness, meanness, cruelty and jealousy cannot survive! May some spiritual stratopsher open for us where the storm clouds enveloping the earth become like billowing areas of tufted cotton... less
