  • Excerpt from the Seattle Post-Intelligencer newspaper. One of the articles describes the "Votes for Women", green pennant of the suffrage movement, having been placed alongside the AYPE banner on the top of Mt. Rainier by Dr. Eaton of Company A. The exposition banner was planted on Columbia Crest by Asahel Curtis.
