- Description
Reel 1 shows Boulder Canyon Reservation, including views of Boulder City's railway station, administration buildings, stores, workers' homes; recreation hall, waterworks, and baseball diamond. The chief engineer and his assistants visit the project. Reel 2 shows bulldozers and power shovels in operation in and around the dam's diversion tunnels. Trucks carry away excavated material. Sand and gravel is hauled in by rail, is dumped into hoppers for washing and grading, and is mixed in a concrete mixing plant. Diversion tunnels are lined with concrete. Workmen drill and blast. Shows the suspension bridges across the Colorado River at the tunnel portals.
