These minutes record the business of the convention of the Pierce County Triple Alliance, which convened on January 18, 1920, and was called for the purpose of establishing the Triple Alliance as "a permanent organization in Pierce County". The convention was held in Hall B at the Labor Temple in Tacoma, Washington. The minutes record the seating of delegates, and note that William Short, the president of the Washington State Federation of Labor, was given permission to address the convention regarding how the WSFL had outlined the structure of the Triple Alliance at its convention in Bellingham, Washington, in 1919. The minutes record the various motions and amendments to motions occurring as the convention establishes the scope of its work, and then lists the reports that were presented to the delegates. Officials are elected, committees are formed, and Homer T. Bone makes a closing address. less
