Pen used by William S. Pettigrew to sign North Carolina's Ordinance of Secession (engrossed version), 21 May 1861. Pen is made of wood and has a metal barrel with a metal feed tube and narrow nib, metal part of barrel has imprinted "BLANZY POURE the remainder that shows reads "P___/No.27____/ LC_____". Dimensions: 0.6 cm diam, 16.4 cm length.
