  • A document, probably prepared by the Seattle and Lake Washington Waterway Company soon after its inception in 1894, which discusses the pros and cons of both a North and South location for a canal between Puget Sound and Lake Washington. The S&LWWC proposes to build a canal along the southern route, stating that it will be finished sooner, will cost less, and will have the effect of creating lucrative tidelands.
