STENNIS (CVN 74) after an engagement exercise over the Alaskan military range. Currently the STENNIS and its crew are participating in a joint military Exercise NORTHERN EDGE 2004 (NE04) in the Gulf of Alaska. NE04 includes approximately 9,000 active duty, Reserve and Guard Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen from the United States and throughout the Pacific Region will train at military installations and various ranges during the multi-service exercise developed and hosted by Alaskan Command (ALCOM).
