Written in ink on reverse: Camp of the 169th N.Y.S.V. at Fort Abercrombie on Virginia side of the Chain Bridge--Visited by me in January 1863--slept with Lieut. Thos. B. Eaton in his tent & breakfasted with him and Capt. John McConor--W.O. Carpenter.
