Man making advertising sign at Mutual Fish Company, Seattle, 2002
- Reese, Joshua, Youth in Focus Photography Program
Mutual Fish Company was founded in 1947 by Dick Yoshimura. It is now operated by his son Harry, and grandson Kevin. The original store was located at 14th and Yesler; it moved to the current Rainier Avenue location in 1965. It is a retail and wholesale fish market; the hand-drawn sandwich board signs on Rainier Avenue are a distinctive feature of this neighborhood family-owned business.
