"Temple University was designated a state-related university in an act signed by Pennsylvania Governor William W. Scranton today ( 1:30 p.m., November 30, 1965) in his office in Harrisburg. Present at the ceremonies were representatives of the Legislature of the Commonwealth and Temple University. Seated, left to right, are Dr. Millard E. Gladfelter, president of Temple University; Governor Scranton, and President Judge Charles Klein, of Philadelphia's Orphans Court, the chairman of the University's Board of Trustees." " Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1965, Mr. Albert R. Carlisle, Director, Office of Public Information, Temple University, Philadelphia 22, Pa."
