Tsaihwa James Chow (1924-2006), a geochemist at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. His main focus were studies of lead and lead isotopes in nature. Of particular note was a scientific paper he authored on the occurrence and significance of lead isotopes in pelagic sediments.
