A 3 page letter dated January 8, 1814 and sent from Huntsville [Alabama]. Coffee writes about the numbers of men who have left the service commenting that all those who have left will one day see their error. He must await the arrival of reinforcements - 900 new volunteers from Tennessee and Madison [Madison County, Alabama].
