  • Description
  • In 1913, Lester, Washington, had a population of 400 people. Northern Pacific Railroad trains stopped regularly at Lester to take on coal or have the engine serviced. In addition to a hotel, saloon, dairy and restaurant, Lester had a general store, owned by E.C. Morgan, the city's postmaster. This photographic postcard, postmarked 1912, shows Morgan's store.
