At the height of construction, there were over 300 workers on site. The 20th regular legislative session convened in the partially-completed structure for several days in early March, 1927, mainly as a ceremonial gesture. The 21st regular legislative session, convening on January 14, 1929, was the first to use the building fully for its intended purpose.Sources:Johnston, Norman J.
