    The original finding aid described this photograph as: [Complete] Scene Caption: US Air Force (USAF) STAFF Sergeant (SSGT) Doug Jones (left) cuts a trip wire with his teeth while USAF SSGT Corey Connor provides cover during a Silver Flag Alpha training. Both are instructors at the Ground Air base Defense School of the 99th Ground Combat Training Squadron (GCTS), Indian Springs Air Force Auxiliary Air Field (AAF), Nevada (NV), and are posing as an opposing force trying to breach the defenses of a simulated forward deployed air base. The instructors wear Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) it detects if they are shot by the defenders. They are also armed with 5.56 M16A2 assault rifles with MILES attachments. The 99th GCTS trains all of Air Combat Commands Security Forces on base defense in a hostile environment, and is the oldest school on ground air base defense tactics in existence.
