Children play in debris littered alleyway. Some children hold tops to pots and pans in their hands. Two smaller children look on. Brick building behind them. Brick alleyway.
Notes from back of mount: Design for Living? This picture was taken in a Chicago alley on the site of PWA's $6,500,000 Jane Adams slum clearance and low-rent housing project. Healthful, spacious playgrounds will replace alley play-yards for the unfortunate slum youngsters.
