The Melody Shop was opened at 1408 Second Avenue around 1917 and sold sheet music. In 1922 the shop re-opened at 1402 Second Avenue. The expanded new store advertised talking machines, records, and small musical instruments. The new store also presented daily public concerts to test and introduce new songs including some written by Harold Weeks himself, a popular song writer.PH Coll 513.157.
