Watercolor print of a single red rose, with two small birds and green foliage. In plain oval frame. H 10" x W 8". An 1861 drawing from Frank Leslie's Illustrated newspaper shows 3 oval framed pictures over a whatnot in the parlor. This type of print was typical of home furnishings in the mid-19th Century and would be appropriate for a parlor setting.
