  • Description
  • In his letter, which was written two days before he challenged the governments' exclusion order to evacuate all Japanese from the West Coast, Hirabayashi thanks the Rings for their friendship. He writes "I cannot help but picture dark days ahead of us. But I have seen too much of that which is good to ever be pessimistic towards life. May we meet again soon in a brighter, happier world.".
