    This photograph shows Sarah Kelly, class of 2000, playing field hockey for the Springfield College varsity Field Hockey team. She is going for the ball against an opponent. Sarah Kelly, an athletic training major at Springfield, was selected as the female team athlete-of-the-year at Springfield College for 3 straight years (1998,1999, and 2000). Kelly became the first player in Springfield history named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association(NFHCA) Division III All-American First Team. She was a three-time All American honoree and a three-time selection to the prestigious NFHHCA Division III Academic Team. Kelly served as co-captain of the SC team in 2000, which set a school record with 21 wins and only 4 losses. Kelly went on to coach the junior field hockey team at Springfield in 2001. In 2002, she joined Western New England College's staff as the head strength and conditioning coach, assistant athletic trainer and Wellness Coordinator. In 2003, she was named the field hockey coach at Western New England College. less
