The American Nationalist Confederation was a group formed by fascist George Deatherage, who sought to unite racists, anti-Semites, and other fascist extremists under one banner. This bulletin was published by Deatherage, who called it the "official organ of the Fascist Party in America--the American Nationalist Confederation--printing the 'News Behind the News'--without fear or favor--upholding the principles of America for Americans." Vol. 1, no. 14, dated April 23, 1938, sought to explain the origins of the swastika symbol, pointing out that it is a type of Christian cross, and blaming "Jewish propaganda" for casting odium on the emblem. This issue was used in the Great Sedition Trial of 1944 as evidence for the existence of a Nazi conspiracy in America. 11 x 8.5 in. less
