Patsy is a WAVE at the Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, Illinois. She has been so busy that she has not had time to write Jesse. She does not have anything “newsy” to write like Jesse requested. She does tell him he should ask her mother for the letters she has sent her. She wants to write more but it is chow time. She thinks Jesse is doing a fine job sending out letters and the Speed-O-Meter. This letter is part of the Jesse G. Dorsey Korean War Correspondence collection. Dorsey was the Director of Recreation and Welfare and editor of the Speed-O-Meter newsletter for the Louisville Cement Company. Dorsey began sending monthly letters and the Speed-O-Meter to local service personnel during WWII. He continued this through the Korean War and for sometime afterwards. less
