  • Description
  • On August 11, 1919, the Puget Sound Bridge & Dredging Company launched the steamer "Snoqualmie" at its Seattle shipyard on Harbor Island. The vessel was named for the Snoqualmie Tribe, in honor of their friendship with pioneer settlers and their war record in service to the United States. This photo shows some of the tribal members who traveled to Seattle to take part in the launching ceremonies.
