    A posted used as a promotion and publication poster to advertise the “Summer School of Physical Education for Men" program at the International YMCA College, now Springfield College, held between June 28 - July 31, 1920. The Summer school offered intensive courses in theory and practice giving full credit in regular college courses. It offered, through its School of Coaching, courses in the major sports of Football, Baseball, Track Basketball, Soccer, Swimming". It also offered instruction in Hygienic gymnastics for Y.M.C.A.'s, clubs, colleges. Tactics, Calisthenics, Dancing, Apparatus, Games directed to Public School Secondary School, and College Courses in Theory and Practice. The courses instructors were composed of Faculty specialized in athletics, gymnastics, school work and theoretical subjects. It also gives a description of the lake and the school resources. There are three photographs depicted on the poster, which include portraits of the [center] "Springfield--M.A.C. Game--1919"; [middle left] "McCurdy Natatorium"; [middle right] "Sophomore Class Physical Section"; and [center, bottom] "1919 Summer School". Of those men seated in the "1919 Summer School" photograph, there can be seen Elmer Berry (Class of 1902) and George Affleck (Class of 1901), both of whom served as professors for many years at the College.
