  • Description
  • The apartment building pictured here is likely the Mt. McKinley Building, later known as the MacKay building, and today as the McKinley Tower Apartments. The apartment building was constructed in 1952 at the intersection of Denali St and 4th Ave. The 14 story building was Anchorage's first high-rise building. The building was severely damaged in the 1964 Alaskan Earthquake, after which Neil MacKay bought the building.
