Board zither with a resonator box (box zither), which has metal bridges on wooden supports to suspend all the strings. There are 4 low-register coil-wrapped strings and 18 courses of 4 brass strings, which are all tunable at the right side of the box. Zither is trapezoid shaped with 2 patterns of 1-cm circles (7 per pattern) on the soundboard. There is a stain on the box and a finish to the soundboard that shows that the supports for the bridges have been moved from their original position. There are brass rings on the sides with a carrying strap attached. The stain on this santur is darker (indicating age?) than on Santur 1.In addition to 4 rod bridges, there are 4 extra altered bridges near top of range, on sets 1, 3, 5, and 7 from the top end of the trapezoid. The bottom of the box is one piece of wood. No textured nails were used (see Santur 1). One of each set of coil-wrapped bass string sets is missing. less
