The original finding aid described this as: Description: EVA Mission Specialist Kathy Thornton (dashed red stripe) working on the ASEM (Assembly of Station by EVA Methods) in the payload bay at the top of a tripod truss structure erected on the port side. Good views of the end node connectors used to join truss poles together. The RMS is seen hovering nearby but does not appear to be a participant in the activity. The shadow of EVA Mission Specialist Tom Akers, working on a similar tripod on the starboard side can be seen on the starboard OMS pod.
