Handheld electric mixer in original cardboard box. Recipe and instruction booklet, “Copyright 1952 Waring Products Corporation”, in box with mixer.
A. Chrome-plated metal body rectangular in shape, tapered towards bottom, ribbed horizontally on the side facing the beaters, venting at bottom, with upper half comprised of metal painted white. Black plastic arch handle at top with metal plate attached with two screws, black plastic selector wheel, 3-speed dial, imprinted in black sans serif: “H/IMED/LOW/OFF”. Two steel four-winged beaters attached, round metal shafts, bulb-shaped, flattened at bottom. Black rubber two-pronged cord attached at bottom, metal prongs are discolored and stamped with marks, now illegible. Silver metal plate at top near handle is printed in red sans serif: “WARING”; underside of metal body is debossed in sans serif: “WARING PRODUCTS CORPORATION/MODEL RMI MIXOR/N.Y N.Y./115 VOLTS/70 WATTS/AC-DC/25 To 60/CYCLES/PATS.-PEND. “UL” mark on left, for Underwriters Laboratories (1894-present), and “CSA” mark on right, for Canadian Standards Association, now CSA International (1919-present).
B. Bent metal wire wall bracket, chrome-plated.
Accompanying box is red and yellow, printed with black, yellow and red text on all five sides, as well as a panel inside which details the features of the mixer. A white price sticker is still adhered to one side and reads: “KANN’S/WASHINGTON/RM-1/MIXER/13.88”
