Pottery jar with round base and slightly flared sides. Has nip in rounded flare lip. Yellowish glaze on outside, but does not cover all the way to bottom. Inside is ridged, lightly glazed. H 6 3/4" Diameter 4 3/4". Typical of pottery in use in midwestern United States / Illinois during the Lincoln's residence in Springfield, 1844-1861.
