  • The totem pole to the right was presented to the city by Chester Thorne in 1903 and first located at Tenth and A Streets. It was carved from a cedar tree 105 ft. long by Native carvers from Alaska.Caption on image: Tacoma Hotel, Tacoma, Wash.
