Painted clay figure. Height 8.5 inches. This figure of a squatting man is shown carrying an Inca aryballus on a strap. An aryballus is a central and southern Peruvian highland ceramic form with a pointed base and two small loop handles; used to store and carry liquids. Also known by the Inca term, urpu.
