- Description
U.S. Army troops disembark from landing craft onto the beaches of Morotai Island, Netherlands East Indies. Heavy equipment is brought ashore through the surf. Telephone linemen string wire on palm trees and troops file through the jungle. Semaphore signals are exchanged among vessels offshore. Bulldozers, tractors, and amphibious vessels are brought ashore. Infantry flounder through the surf to unload supplies on the beach.
