The people of the photograph were numbered in handwritten ink but the original board with the name key is missing.     This photograph is believed to depict the 1889 Summer Session Class at the School for Christian Workers, now Springfield College. The people of the photograph were numbered in handwritten ink but the original board with the name key is missing. The setting of the picture is similar to the one on the Summer Session Class of 1890 (SC18708). Notice a rug on the floor in the picture as well as a curtain hanging on the back. Also the men sitting on the second row are dressed in formal attire wearing suits while the rest of them are wearing sports clothes. It could be that these men are the instructors. Luther Halsey Gulick is on the far right side. A handwritten caption on the back reads "Pbox-01-05". less
