Children gazing into a window at Frederick & Nelson, ca. December 15, 1944
Even during World War II, it was still an Seattle-area tradition to visit Frederick & Nelson's famous Christmas displays. This wartime Christmas photo was taken from inside a display window at the department store. Children press against the window glass while their mothers stand behind them and hold toddlers up to see the display.
