  • Each June, Marysville, Washington, holds its annual Strawberry Festival. As can be seen in this photo, visitors to the 1946 Strawberry Festival watched Mrs. William Shelton cook salmon in the traditional Snohomish manner. Mrs. Shelton's husband was the chief of the Snohomish people on the nearby Tulalip Reservation.
