Additional information accompanying item: Boston, Mass. -- Winter weather came to Boston with a thud, and 13 inches of snow, and while people struggled in the midst of traffic and transportation tie-ups, the parks bloomed into icy beauty. Here, looking across Boston Common from Beacon St. to Tremont St., the "winter white" garb has produced this scene of dazzling beauty.
