The 61st Airlift Squadron (AS) from Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, with Aeromedical Evacuation personnel fly patients bound for Ramstein Air Base (AB), Germany. The 61st Green Hornets fly and maintain their C-130's while deployed to Ramstein AB, Germany, during Operation JOINT GUARD (previously Operation JOINT ENDEAVOR). Flying C-130 Hercules every day to the Former Yugoslav region (primarily Tuzla) they pick up and deliver cargo and passengers in support of Operation JOINT GUARD. Tuzla is the dispersion and collection point for supplies, vehicles and personnel. JOINT GUARD is the multi-national peacekeeping mission that provides a climate of stability in the war-torn land of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
