Caned rocking chair, back full-caned except for top rail; caned seat curved, rectangular, slightly sloping toward back. Front seat rail rounded, back and front legs bowed, rockers attached with pegs to side of legs rather than bottom. H 36" x W 17 1/2" x D 15 1/2". This chair was wwned and used by Mary Todd Lincoln during her residence in Springfield, 1844-1861.
