  • Description
  • This is an aerial view photo taken from a commercial airline pilot landing in Portland International Airport. It shows the upper portions of the explosion cloud reaching into the stratosphere. The boundary between the stratosphere and troposphere is called the tropopause and the cloud is sitting right on the tropopause. The upper part of the cloud is in the stratosphere and the lower part is in the tropopause.
